PATTIE KING: Owner/Instructor
Pattie has over 20+ years of dance and teaching
experience. She has taken master
classes in New York and Los Angeles and continues to
bring those influences into her choreography. She has trained hundreds of
dancers, many of whom have gone on to dance and teach professionally. Both
Pattie’s former studio, in Florissant, and Steppin’ Up Dance, are regionally
and nationally ranked studios. In addition to dance, Pattie is an ISSA
certified personal trainer. With Pattie’s help, her clients have lost those
unwanted pounds and gained a whole new outlook on life!
JOSLYN DUMAS: Instructor
Joslyn has been dancing since the age of nine. She
competed in over 18 regional and national competitions and was consistently
recognized as a standout dancer. At the age of 19, she won Top Senior
soloist and was given the opportunity to attend class in New York. Most
recently, she was awarded a Platinum level award for her solo at Starquest
Dance Competition. She has been teaching for ten years and enjoys it
immensely. Joslyn graduated from Webster University in 2006.
ERIN LAYNE: Instructor
Erin has been dancing since the age of three. She was a
member of the Mizzou Golden Girls and performed extensively with them. Erin
has attended over 18 regional and national competitions and was recognized
as a standout dancer. She has been teaching for eight years and loves it.
She graduated from Mizzou in 2006.
DESI BLACKWELL: Instructor
Desi has been dancing for over eleven years. She
competed extensively with her high school dance team and is an excellent
teacher. She has been teaching for six years and is a very gifted dancer.
Desi graduated from Fort Zumwalt West High School and now attends St.
Charles Community College.
KELSEY KEIL: Instructor
Kelsey has been dancing with Steppin’ Up Dance
Productions since its opening in 2005. She has loved dancing since the age
of 3 when she attended her first dance class. Kelsey has performed in the
Spotlight Dance Cup and the StarQuest International and World Finals
Competition taking home Judge’s Choice Awards and Special Awards, as well as
high scoring solo awards. Kelsey enjoys exploring the dance world, attending
workshops and master classes inside and outside of the studio. She has
traveled to L.A. to attend classes at The Edge Performing Arts Center and
won a scholarship to visit the Broadway Dance Center in New York City. This
fall she will be attending Webster University as a dance major.
CAITLIN FIELDS: Instructor
Caitlin has been dancing since the age of four. She
got her start in dance in Madrid, Spain. Caitlin has performed in numerous
dance competitions over the years, both regional and national, consistently
bringing home high-scoring awards. Caitlin recently graduated from Fort
Zumwalt West High School in May 2009. She will be attending Southeast
Missouri State University in the fall. Caitlin plans on continuing her
career in dance, as well as having a second major in Forensic Science.
